Tromba Mundi was founded in January of 2008 for the sole purpose of exploring trumpet ensemble repertoire and promoting new works. Each member of the ensemble is a professional pedagogue and performer from: the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), West Chester University (PA), Indiana University, Rowan University, The University of New Mexico, and Messiah College (PA).  All members perform frequently with other ensembles such as the Cincinnati Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Augusta Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Brevard Orchestra, as well as various jazz ensembles, chamber ensembles, freelancing, and commercial recording work.  Most members have solo recordings under various record labels.

Tromba Mundi is dedicated to performing new works for trumpet ensemble. As a result, their debut CD, Music for Trumpet Ensemble, features several new works as well as a few works from the standard competition repertoire.  Please visit the www.trombamundi.net page for further information.
